Terms of Service

You must be 18 years or older to use AnimoChat. The platform is operated from and intended for users in the Philippines. If you verify a Lasallian school email, you gain access to the verified matching pool; verification is optional.

Accounts are anonymous and created automatically on your device. You are responsible for what happens through your account and device. Impersonating another person — a student, a moderator, a public figure — is prohibited.

On AnimoChat you agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against anyone.
• Post hate speech or sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance; reported to authorities where required).
• Share another person’s private information without consent.
• Post content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property.
• Spam, advertise, or flood chats or the Freedom Wall.
• Attempt to bypass bans, moderation, or technical protections.

You own what you write. By posting on AnimoChat (including the Freedom Wall) you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the platform. Freedom Wall posts are reviewed by moderators before they appear publicly, and public posts may be visible to anyone on the internet, including search engines. We may remove any content that violates these terms or harms the community.

We enforce these rules through pre-publication review of Freedom Wall posts, in-chat reporting reviewed by human moderators, automated screening that flags (but does not auto-punish) suspected abuse, and blocking tools available to every user. Violations can lead to content removal, temporary bans (typically 24 hours), or permanent, device-level bans for serious or repeated abuse. You can appeal any enforcement action via Contact.

Optional paid features include AnimoChat Pro (a ₱49/week or ₱99/month pass), the Loudspeaker, and instant Freedom Wall posts. Payments are processed by PayMongo; we never store your card or e-wallet credentials. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable. If a paid feature is unavailable for an extended period, contact us and we will make it right.

Free users may be shown third-party ads (served by Google) while using the platform, for example on the matchmaking waiting screen. Pro users are not shown ads. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalization.

AnimoChat is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Conversations are between users; we do not vouch for any user’s identity or intentions. Never share credentials or send money to someone you met here. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AnimoChat and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

You can stop using AnimoChat at any time and may request data deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the community, with device-level enforcement for serious abuse.

We may update these terms as the platform evolves; material changes will be announced on the platform and this page’s date updated. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Questions: animochat.official@gmail.com.
