About AnimoChat

AnimoChat is an anonymous, real-time chat platform made for students and young people across the Philippines. Press one button and you are matched with a random person for a one-on-one conversation. No profile, no followers, no photos of your face — just two people talking. Alongside random chat, the community gathers on the Freedom Wall, a public board where anyone can post anonymous letters, confessions, shout-outs, and polls.

AnimoChat began as a small project for the De La Salle Lipa community — the name comes from the Lasallian “Animo” spirit. What started as a way for schoolmates to talk candidly during exam season grew into a platform used by students from campuses all over the country. Students with a verified Lasallian school email still get a dedicated matching pool, but everyone in the Philippines is welcome.

• Freedom Wall — post anonymous letters and polls, reply to others, and react to posts. Every post is reviewed by a moderator before it appears.
• Icebreakers and mini-games — built-in prompts and quick games you can play inside a chat when you don’t know how to start.
• Saved connections — if a conversation clicks, both people can agree to stay connected and keep talking.
• AnimoChat Pro — an optional pass (₱49/week or ₱99/month) that supports the platform and unlocks perks like an ad-free experience, voice notes, live voice calls, chat themes, and priority matchmaking.

Anonymity is not a license to be cruel. AnimoChat exists so people can be honest — about stress, feelings, campus life, and everything in between — while still being kind. We enforce clear community rules, review every Freedom Wall post before it goes public, act on in-chat reports with human moderators, and give every user the power to block anyone instantly. AnimoChat is independent and self-funded. Running costs are covered by optional Pro passes, small paid features like the Loudspeaker and instant Freedom Wall posts, and advertising shown to free users while they wait for a match.
