To other users, yes — people only see the display name you type, never your real identity. Technically, we keep a small amount of data to run the service and stop abuse (an anonymous account ID and device signals used for ban enforcement). We never ask for your real name, and we don’t sell personal data. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Anyone in the Philippines who is 18 or older. The platform started in the De La Salle Lipa community, and students who verify a Lasallian email get a dedicated verified matching pool — but verification is optional and everyone is welcome.

Press the chat button and you join a queue. You are matched with the person who has been waiting longest in a compatible pool (everyone, or verified-only if you chose that). When both sides are connected, the chat starts instantly. If your partner leaves, you can requeue with one tap.

A public board of anonymous letters — confessions, rants, shout-outs, polls, even song dedications. Anyone can post, reply, and react. Every post is reviewed by a moderator before it appears, so the wall stays readable. Public posts may also be visible to search engines.

Harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, doxxing, scams, spam, and ban evasion. Reports are pre-screened automatically but a human moderator makes every ban decision. First offenses are typically a 24-hour ban; serious or repeated abuse becomes permanent. See Safety for the whole picture.

In any chat, open the menu and tap Report — the conversation context attaches automatically. On the Freedom Wall, use the report option on the post. The person you report never learns who reported them.

A pass that supports the platform and unlocks perks: no ads, voice notes, live voice calls, exclusive chat themes, a supporter badge, priority matchmaking, and a free Loudspeaker post. Choose ₱49 for a week or ₱99 for a month. Payment is via GCash/PayMongo.

Free users may see a single ad while waiting to be matched — that, plus optional Pro passes, is what pays the server bills. Pro users see no ads at all. You can opt out of ad personalization via the links in our Privacy Policy.

Yes — if both people agree, you can save the connection and keep chatting after the random session ends. Nobody can save you without your consent.

Email animochat.official@gmail.com from the device in question (or describe the post) and we will remove it. Automated jobs already purge expired operational data on a schedule.
