About Send The Song
Send The Song is AnimoChat’s anonymous song dedication wall. You pick a track, write the name of the person you want to hear it, add a short message if you want to, and post it. Your name is never attached. The dedication goes up on a public wall where anyone can scroll through and look for their own name — which is the whole point. It is the internet version of requesting a song on the radio for someone who will probably never know it was you.
How it works
Search for a song by title or artist and Send The Song finds the track for you, along with its artwork and a link you can play. Type the recipient’s name — a first name, a nickname, a section, a course block, whatever they would recognise — and optionally attach a message. Once you post, the dedication appears on the wall for everyone to read.
There is no account required and no sign-up step. You are not asked for your name, and the wall never shows who sent what. The person you dedicated to does not get a notification either; they find it the same way everyone else does, by scrolling the wall or by a friend telling them to go look.
Why people use it
Most dedications fall into a few honest categories: a crush you have not said anything to, a friend going through a hard week, a batchmate who is graduating, someone you fell out with, or a person you are not in contact with any more. A song carries the part that is difficult to write down. Sending it anonymously removes the risk of saying it directly — which is often the only reason it gets said at all.
It is also just fun. Plenty of posts on the wall are inside jokes, hype songs for an org, or a block section spamming each other with the same track for a week.
Rules and moderation
Every dedication is public, so treat it that way. Do not post someone’s full name, school ID, phone number, address, or social media handle — use the name they would recognise and nothing more. Harassment, sexual content, threats, and posts meant to humiliate a specific person are removed, and anonymity is not a shield for any of it. The same standards that apply on the Freedom Wall apply here. If you see a post that crosses the line, report it through our contact page.

The rest of AnimoChat
Send The Song is one part of AnimoChat, a free anonymous platform for students and young people across the Philippines. The other two are random one-on-one chat, where a single button matches you with someone new to talk to, and the Freedom Wall, a moderated board of anonymous letters, confessions, polls, and shout-outs. You can read more on our About page or the FAQ.
